Feeding the Masses

I just had to take a minute to stop and record our year of feeding the boys. This was one area that gave me great stress before the boys came as I had no idea how I would feed three boys! :o) As you can see here in this first pic, one person would take two boys in one boppy and another person got to hold the third little guy. After we lost our little J, we either each took a boy and got to cuddle while feeding or we fed as Emma is in this first picture.

As the boys got older (5-6mos), we were able to use these amazing bottles, Podee Bottles. This bottles were a life saver for me! I was able to feed all 4 kids at the same time instead of having to take a 20 min down time to feed the boys while the girls ran crazy! I affectionately refer to these bottles as the lazy parent bottle!

Here's the bottle set up in the last month. It looks drastically better than the early stages! Much fewer bottles! I was so glad to earn this counter space back!!

We started the boys on solids slowly as their preemie mouths were not hip to solids! They thrusted that food out viciously for some time, but they eventually caught on and we haven't looked back.

Since it took so long for them to get solids down, introducing finger foods was obviously pushed back. However, once we started, WOW! The boys loved it! They LOVE FOOD! I have never seen such eaters!!!

So, we were SO THRILLED for our last can of formula purchasing!!! We had to document the occasion. We were sure that we would save so much money. Um, our boys had a different plan! THEY EAT and EAT! They eat as much as our girls, who are eaters too, or more! We've been coming up with some creative meal planning in order to afford our new family of 6 eaters! :o)

Jeff, there is no one else I would ever have even wanted to take this journey with! I love you, babe!
